**New Delhi, November 2, 2024:** Renowned Indian fashion designer Rohit Bal, known for his exquisite creations that blended traditional elegance with contemporary flair, passed away on Friday night following a heart attack. He was 63.
Bal, who had a significant role in putting Indian fashion on the global map, made his last public appearance just last month at the Lakme Fashion Week X FDCI 2024 grand finale. He presented his collection “Kaaynaat: A Bloom In The Universe” despite battling ill health.
The designer, affectionately known as “Gudda” by his friends, had been admitted to Aashlok Hospital in Safdarjung Enclave following a cardiac arrest. Despite efforts by doctors, he succumbed to the heart failure.
Bal’s designs have graced the bodies of Hollywood A-listers like Uma Thurman, Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell, and in India, his creations were a favorite of Bollywood stars including Deepika Padukone and Arjun Rampal.
