**Howrah, West Bengal:** A devastating fire broke out in a house in Uluberia town on Saturday, claiming the lives of three young children. The incident occurred on the occasion of Kali Puja.
According to Divisional Fire Officer of Howrah, Ranjan Kumar Ghosh, the victims were a 9-year-old, a 4-year-old, and a 2.5-year-old child. Their charred bodies were recovered from the house and sent to the hospital for post-mortem examination.
Two fire tenders were immediately dispatched to the scene upon receiving reports of the fire. They successfully extinguished the blaze, preventing further damage to nearby houses.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined. Authorities are currently investigating the incident to ascertain the circumstances leading to the tragedy.
