**BATTLE CREEK, Mich.** – Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, on her Get Out the Vote bus tour, held a rally in Battle Creek on Wednesday, focusing on urging voters to support Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming election.

Speaking to News Channel 3, Whitmer acknowledged the tight race and stressed the importance of rallying support for Harris. “I’m feeling good,” she said, “but we are taking no community, no vote for granted.”

Whitmer praised Harris’s character and commitment to the American people, emphasizing her experience and understanding of critical issues. “Kamala Harris is a person of integrity who works hard, who will never forget where she comes from and who she fights for,” Whitmer stated.

The governor also stressed the importance of the election, stating that fundamental rights, like the right to bodily autonomy, and the ability to rebuild the economy are on the line.

“This is a really important election,” she said, “fundamental rights to make your own decisions about your body are on the line, the ability to ensure that we continue to ensure supply chains and rebuild our economy.”

Whitmer’s visit was accompanied by Rep. Jim Haadsma, who is running for re-election. With early voting continuing through Sunday, and election day on November 5th, Whitmer aims to ensure a strong turnout for Harris in the state of Michigan.
