**MUMBAI, INDIA -** The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) will be closed for ten days in November 2024, including weekends, due to various religious and national holidays. Investors and traders are advised to plan their trading activities accordingly.
The closures will take place on the following dates:
* **November 2nd:** Govardhan Puja and Balipratipada
* **November 3rd, 9th, 10th, 16th, 17th, 23rd, 24th and 30th:** Weekends
* **November 15th:** Guru Nanak Jayanti
The news comes as the Nifty 50 closed with a 0.51 per cent drop at 24,340 points, while the Sensex ended the session with a dip of 0.53 per cent at 79,942 points on October 30th. Despite this, mid- and small-cap indices continued their winning streak for the third consecutive trading session.
The Nifty Bank fell almost 1 per cent on October 30th, with nine out of the 12 stocks ending in the red. Major bank stocks such as ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Axis Bank, State Bank of India, and HDFC Bank lost between 1 per cent to 1.5 per cent at the closing session on Wednesday.
