Thu Oct 31 21:41:10 UTC 2024: ## Rune Ready to Shine in Paris, Shares Amusing Nadal Anecdote

**Paris, France** – Danish tennis star Holger Rune is on a mission to end his season on a high note at the ATP Rolex Paris Masters. Despite a year of mixed results, Rune, who is already in the round of 16, feels optimistic about his chances in the tournament where he triumphed in 2022.

In an interview with Tennis Channel, Rune reflected on his 2024 season, his experience at the Six Kings Slam, and even shared an amusing anecdote about training with Rafael Nadal.

“It’s been a decent season,” said Rune, acknowledging that he has not reached the heights of his previous year but remains focused on ending the year strong. “I haven’t shown any great brilliance, but maybe I can call it good if I achieve a great result here in Paris.”

Rune also spoke about the Six Kings Slam, a recent exhibition event featuring top players, saying it was an “interesting experience.” He described the event as fun and an opportunity to bond with fellow players off the court. “Novak [Djokovic] always manages to bring us fun things,” Rune said, adding that the Serbian star even encouraged the players to dance.

When asked about his training with Nadal in Riyadh, Rune expressed admiration for the veteran Spaniard’s work ethic. “The guy is almost retired and trains with such high intensity, you think: ‘You shouldn’t retire.’ He’s had an incredible career and has done so many things,” Rune said. “There’s a reason they are Rafa and Novak, both give their all in every practice.”

Rune is now focused on his next match in Paris, with his sights set on reaching the latter stages of the tournament. The Dane is determined to finish the year on a strong note and build momentum for the next season.
