**Kutch (Gujarat), November 1, 2024** – Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked Diwali by celebrating with brave personnel from the Border Security Force, Army, Navy, and Air Force at Lakki Nala in the challenging Creek Area of Kutch, Gujarat.
Addressing the troops, PM Modi praised their unwavering courage and determination in defending the nation’s borders, particularly in the harsh and remote environment of Kutch. He lauded their resilience, highlighting the diverse and difficult conditions they face, from Himalayan glaciers to scorching deserts.
“Today, India has a government that will not compromise even an inch of land on our borders,” he asserted, assuring the troops of the government’s unwavering support.
Emphasizing India’s increasing self-reliance in defense, PM Modi pointed out that the country is no longer solely reliant on imports. “Today, India is exporting defense equipment to many countries around the world,” he declared.
PM Modi also emphasized the significance of border tourism and highlighted the government’s efforts to develop the Kutch region, including its mangrove forests and marine ecosystems.
The Prime Minister’s visit to Kutch comes at a time of heightened tension along the India-China border, with recent disengagement agreements in eastern Ladakh. PM Modi reiterated his commitment to modernizing the Indian military, ensuring its place among the world’s most advanced armed forces.
His message to the troops was clear: “The citizens of India feel secure knowing that our brave soldiers stand vigilant at the borders. It is your hard work and sacrifice that keeps the nation safe. Only a safe nation can progress.”
