Fri Nov 01 07:22:28 UTC 2024: ## PM Modi Reiterates India’s Firm Stance on Territorial Integrity: No Compromise on Even an Inch of Land

**Kachchh, India:** Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asserted India’s unwavering commitment to its territorial integrity, stating that the current government will not compromise on even an inch of the country’s land. His remarks come amidst the ongoing disengagement of troops between India and China along their shared border.

Speaking at a Diwali celebration with personnel from the Border Security Force (BSF), Army, Navy, and Air Force at Laki Nala in the Sir Creek area of Kachchh, Gujarat, PM Modi emphasized the government’s focus on strengthening the Indian armed forces with modern resources. “We are bolstering our armed forces and security personnel with modern resources to meet the demands of the 21st century, making them one of the most advanced in the world,” he said. “This endeavor is fueled by our commitment to self-reliance in the defense sector.”

The Prime Minister also lauded the role of the armed forces in safeguarding India’s aspirations for progress and development. “As we strive to become a developed nation, all of you (soldiers) are the protectors of our dreams,” he said.

While PM Modi refrained from directly commenting on the border disengagement with China, he asserted that border security is a matter of national security, not to be discussed openly. His statements resonate with the government’s stance of firmly safeguarding India’s borders while pursuing diplomatic channels for peaceful resolutions.

PM Modi, as part of his annual tradition, celebrated Diwali with the armed forces personnel. He donned an army uniform and interacted with the soldiers, extending his greetings and distributing sweets to them.
