Fri Nov 01 13:00:00 UTC 2024: ## Pensacola Navy Federal Employees Craft Comfort for Hurricane-Affected Veterans

**PENSACOLA, Fla.** – In a heartwarming display of community spirit, 450 Navy Federal Credit Union employees dedicated a workday to crafting no-sew blankets for veterans impacted by recent hurricanes. This initiative, dubbed “Moments that Matter,” saw the employees partner with Soldiers’ Angels, a non-profit organization, to provide comfort and warmth to those who have served their country.

The project resonated deeply with the Navy Federal staff, many of whom had firsthand experience with the devastation of Hurricane Sally just a few years ago. Employees eagerly volunteered for the project, knowing that their efforts would bring a tangible sense of care to veterans who may be facing difficult times.

The blankets, meticulously crafted with love, will be delivered to VA hospitals across the country, offering a sense of comfort and home to veterans who may be feeling isolated and alone. Soldiers’ Angels President and CEO Amy Palmer emphasized the profound impact these seemingly simple gifts can have, often becoming cherished possessions and reminders of the support they receive.

Navy Federal Credit Union, a long-standing partner of Soldiers’ Angels, has consistently demonstrated its commitment to serving the veteran community. This latest project exemplifies the organization’s dedication to giving back and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those who have sacrificed so much for their country.
