**Mackay, Queensland** – India’s tour of Australia has officially begun with the first of two unofficial Test matches between India A and Australia A. The series, which serves as a crucial warm-up for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy, commenced on October 31st at the Great Barrier Reef Arena in Mackay.

Ruturaj Gaikwad leads the India A side, with Abhimanyu Easwaran serving as vice-captain. The Indian squad boasts three debutants: Easwaran, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Harshit Rana. Prasidh Krishna, who has previously played two Test matches, has also been recalled to the team.

The first unofficial Test match began at 5:30 am IST on Thursday, following a toss at 5:00 am. While the match is not being broadcast live in India, fans can stream the action on the Cricket Australia website and app (Cricket.com.au).

The two teams are expected to clash again in the second unofficial Test match, which is set to take place in December.
