In preparation for the highly anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy, India A will face Australia A in a two-match unofficial Test series. The four-day matches will take place in Mackay and Melbourne, providing valuable match practice for both teams before the main event.
The India A squad features two players who have been selected for the main team – opener Abhimanyu Easwaran and all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy. Meanwhile, Australia A’s squad includes four contenders for the opening batting spot alongside Usman Khawaja – Sam Konstas, Marcus Harris, Cameron Bancroft, and Nathan McSweeney.
The first Test will be held at the Great Barrier Reef Arena in Mackay from October 31, followed by the second at the Melbourne Cricket Ground from November 7-10.
While the series will not be televised, fans can follow the action live through Cricket Australia’s app and website. In Australia, the matches will also be available on Kayo and Foxtel.
