Thu Oct 31 15:10:00 UTC 2024: ## Charli XCX to Host and Perform on Saturday Night Live

Pop sensation Charli XCX is proving her “360” lyric “I’m everywhere, I’m so Julia” to be more than just a catchy phrase. Following a sold-out tour stop at Madison Square Garden and a DJ set at Storm King Art Center, the singer-songwriter is set to host and perform as musical guest on Saturday Night Live on November 16th.

This will be Charli’s first time hosting the iconic sketch comedy series. She previously appeared as a musical guest in March 2022 and December 2014, showcasing her hit songs “Beg for You,” “Baby,” “Boom Clap,” and “Break the Rules.”

In a recent interview, Charli expressed her excitement about the upcoming appearance, particularly referencing a “Charli XCX Talk Show” skit on SNL featuring cast member Bowen Yang. “I love Bowen and I honestly think he did a great job,” she said. “I was very impressed with the hair texture, actually. I thought it was a really good wig. It was good, it was cool.”

This news comes on the heels of Charli being honored at the Wall Street Journal Magazine’s Innovator Awards. “I wrote an album about myself, and about my friends, and about parting, and about all of my problems,” she shared. “I wasn’t sure if anyone would connect with it, [but] the pendulum of culture swung in favor of messiness.”

Fans are eagerly awaiting Charli’s return to the SNL stage and the creative chaos she is sure to bring.
