Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday (October 31, 2024) extended Diwali greetings to President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. He met with both dignitaries at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
However, the Prime Minister chose to celebrate Diwali with the brave soldiers of BSF, Army, Navy, and Air Force in the Laxi Nala region of Kutch, Gujarat. Modi praised the dedication of these forces, highlighting their resilience in challenging and remote environments.
During the Diwali celebrations, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the government’s commitment to safeguarding the country’s borders. He lauded the courage and determination of the soldiers, stating that the nation sees a guarantee of safety and peace in their presence. He further added that the world sees the strength of India in their service and the enemies see the end of their ill intentions.
The Prime Minister distributed sweets among the soldiers and assured them of the government’s unwavering support.
