Thu Oct 31 02:40:52 UTC 2024: ## King’s College London Dean Extends Diwali Greetings

**London, UK** – King’s College London Dean Ellen Clark-King has extended warm wishes to all Hindu staff and students celebrating Diwali, the festival of lights.

In her message, Dean Clark-King highlighted the significance of Diwali, which celebrates the triumph of good over evil, symbolized by Lord Rama’s victory over the demon Ravana.

“Diwali is a celebration of light, goodness and knowledge,” she said, inviting everyone to reflect on these themes in their own lives. “What is illuminating our thinking right now? Who is bringing goodness and warmth into our lives? Where are we being challenged and excited by new knowledge?”

Dean Clark-King also encouraged everyone to contemplate how they can contribute to overcoming the “demons” that hinder happiness for themselves and others.

“May we all find new causes for celebration and for curiosity this autumn,” she concluded, wishing all those celebrating a joyous and prosperous Diwali.
