Thu Oct 31 05:00:00 UTC 2024: ## Tekashi 6ix9ine Arrested for Alleged Supervised Release Violations

Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly violating the terms of his supervised release, federal authorities announced. The arrest was made based on a warrant issued by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Hernandez was arraigned Tuesday afternoon and pleaded not guilty to the charges. His lawyer, Lance Lazzaro, stated that the rapper is facing three technical violations of his supervised release. “We are confident that each specification will be dismissed,” Lazzaro said.

In 2019, Tekashi 6ix9ine was sentenced to two years in federal prison after pleading guilty to racketeering, firearms offenses, and drug trafficking. He was also placed on five years of supervised release.

The rapper originally faced up to 47 years in prison but received a reduced sentence after cooperating with prosecutors and providing information against two leaders of a violent New York gang.

Further details about the alleged violations are currently unavailable.
