Thu Oct 31 06:24:35 UTC 2024: ## Crystal Palace to Face Arsenal in Carabao Cup Quarter-Finals

**London, England** – Crystal Palace have secured a place in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals for the first time since 2011/12, setting up a clash against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

The Eagles booked their spot with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Aston Villa at Villa Park on Wednesday. This marks their first appearance at this stage of the competition since they famously eliminated Manchester United at Old Trafford in 2011/12, before eventually bowing out in the semi-finals.

The quarter-final clash against Arsenal is scheduled for the week commencing Monday, December 17th.

The club also announced that their Premier League fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion has been moved to Sunday, December 15th (14:00 GMT) due to the Carabao Cup commitments. The match will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

Palace last met Arsenal in the League Cup in 1992/93, where the Gunners prevailed in a two-legged semi-final.

As per competition rules, any quarter-final tie ending in a draw will go straight to penalties. Extra-time will only be used from the semi-finals onwards.

All Carabao Cup matches this season are being broadcast live on Sky Sports in the UK. International fans can access selected matches through the EFL’s international broadcast partners.
