**LOS ANGELES** – Get ready for a terrifying Christmas as director Robert Eggers’ highly anticipated reimagining of “Nosferatu” is set to hit theaters on December 25th. IGN has exclusively revealed five new character posters showcasing the film’s star-studded cast.

The posters feature Nicholas Hoult as Thomas Hutter, Lily-Rose Depp as Ellen Hutter, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Friedrich Harding, Emma Corrin as Anna Harding, and Willem Dafoe as Professor Albin Eberhart Von Franz. The film tells a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman and the terrifying vampire, Count Orlok (played by Bill Skarsgård), who is infatuated with her.

This “Nosferatu” is a remake of the 1922 German Expressionist classic “Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror,” directed by F.W. Murnau. Murnau’s film was a controversial adaptation of Bram Stoker’s “Dracula,” leading to copyright infringement lawsuits and the destruction of almost all copies of the film. Despite this, the film has become a cornerstone of horror cinema, inspiring numerous adaptations and remakes.

Eggers’ “Nosferatu” isn’t the only remake of Murnau’s classic. Werner Herzog’s 1979 version, “Nosferatu the Vampyre,” starred Klaus Kinski as the iconic vampire.

Fans of the genre are eagerly awaiting Eggers’ take on this timeless tale, known for its haunting visuals and chilling atmosphere. With a cast filled with acclaimed actors and a director known for his masterful storytelling, this “Nosferatu” promises to be a truly unforgettable experience.
