Newcastle United secured a resounding 2-0 victory over Chelsea at St. James’ Park on Wednesday, advancing to the quarterfinals of the Carabao Cup.
The hosts dominated the first half, taking the lead in the 23rd minute through a strike from Alexander Isak. Just minutes later, Chelsea’s Axel Disasi inadvertently deflected the ball into his own net, doubling Newcastle’s lead.
