**LOS ANGELES** – Amazon is taking its hit series “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan” to the big screen, with star John Krasinski set to reprise his role as the iconic CIA analyst. The feature film adaptation, in development at Amazon MGM, will see the return of Wendell Pierce as James Greer and Michael Kelly in negotiations to reprise his role as Mike November.
The film will be directed by Andrew Bernstein, who previously served as an executive producer and director on the show’s second season. The script is penned by Aaron Rabin, a co-executive producer and writer on the fourth season.
“Jack Ryan” was based on the characters and “Ryanverse” created by author Tom Clancy and modernized for a contemporary audience. It ran for four successful seasons on Amazon Prime Video, becoming one of the platform’s top three most-watched series globally.
Production on the feature film is being spearheaded by Krasinski and Allyson Seeger through their Sunday Night banner, alongside Andrew Form. The project is also being produced in association with Paramount Pictures and Skydance.
