**MILAN** – Inter manager Simone Inzaghi has provided insight into his team’s lineup choices ahead of their Serie A clash against Empoli.

Speaking just minutes before the match, Inzaghi revealed that midfielder Asllani is struggling with an unresolved injury but is still available for selection. “Asllani is dealing with a problem that hasn’t been fully resolved, but he’s here and will be giving it his all,” stated Inzaghi.

Regarding the midfield, Inzaghi explained his decision to start Barella over Zielinski. “Zielinski had a good return against Juventus, but he requested a substitution afterwards,” Inzaghi said. “After two and a half days, I decided to go with Barella, who is perfectly capable in that role.”

Inzaghi also addressed the team’s recent performance against Empoli. “We’ve analyzed Sunday’s game. We know where we excelled, and there were many positive aspects. We also know where we need to improve, specifically in our non-possession phases,” he said. “We wanted a different result after playing so well. We’re aware that we must continue to improve.”
