Thu Oct 31 13:02:29 UTC 2024: ## Doggett’s Six-Wicket Haul Dismantles India A in First Unofficial Test

**Mackay, Australia:** Australia A fast bowler Brendan Doggett delivered a sensational performance, claiming six wickets to bowl out India A for a paltry 107 runs on the first day of the first unofficial Test at the Harrup Park.

Doggett, who was leading the Australian A attack, exploited the favorable conditions and ripped through the Indian A batting lineup, leaving the much-hyped visitors in a state of disarray.

The day began with Doggett striking early, dismissing opener Ruturaj Gaikwad for a duck, caught by wicketkeeper Josh Philippe. He went on to dismantle the Indian batting order, claiming the key wickets of Ishan Kishan, Devdutt Padikkal, and Prasidh Krishna.

India A struggled throughout the day, failing to build any substantial partnerships. Despite attempts by Sai Sudharsan and Abhinav Eshwaran to steady the innings, Doggett and his colleagues, Todd Murphy and Jordan Buckingham, continued to apply pressure and take crucial wickets.

Doggett’s final figures of 6 wickets for 29 runs highlighted his dominance and earned him the Man of the Day award.

Despite a late flurry of boundaries from the tailender S. Saini, who top-scored with 23 runs, the Indian A innings folded quickly thanks to the disciplined line and length bowling from Murphy and Buckingham.

The six-wicket haul by Doggett gave Australia A a strong early lead, and now they will be looking to capitalize on their advantage with their own batting performance in the coming days.
