Thu Oct 31 04:20:00 UTC 2024: ## Freddie Freeman Powers Dodgers to World Series Victory, Earns MVP Honors

**NEW YORK** – Freddie Freeman led the Los Angeles Dodgers to a dominant World Series victory, earning the coveted MVP award for his historic performance.

The first baseman set the tone for the series with a game-winning grand slam in the 10th inning of Game 1, the first of its kind in World Series history. He continued his scorching streak, hitting a home run in each of the first four games, tying a record for consecutive World Series games with a homer.

Freeman’s impact went beyond the long ball. He finished the series batting .300 with four homers and 12 RBIs, including a clutch two-out single in the Dodgers’ 7-6 clinching win in Game 5.

“You just get into one of those zones where everything seems to slow down just enough… sometimes it’s just to get another pitch,” Freeman explained about his incredible performance, drawing comparisons to Kirk Gibson’s legendary homer in the 1988 World Series.

Despite battling an ankle sprain throughout the postseason, Freeman’s determination and resilience shone through, earning praise from Dodgers manager Dave Roberts. “If I had one player… all encompassing, he’s my favorite player to be around,” Roberts said, highlighting Freeman’s impact on the team’s culture and success.

Freeman’s World Series performance adds to his impressive resume, which includes an NL MVP award in 2020 and a World Series ring with the Atlanta Braves in 2021. He joins an elite group of players to win both a regular season MVP and a World Series MVP, with ten of the previous eleven players enshrined in the Hall of Fame.
