**New Delhi:** The deadline for all 10 IPL teams to submit their retention lists to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is today, October 31st. As the IPL 2025 mega auction looms, franchises are preparing to retain their core players ahead of the bidding process.

According to BCCI regulations, teams can retain a maximum of six players, including a maximum of five Indian and one foreign player, and two uncapped Indian players. Teams retaining four or five players will also have the option to use one or two Right to Match (RTM) cards at the auction.

**Key Retention Possibilities:**

**Chennai Super Kings (CSK):** MS Dhoni (uncapped), Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ravindra Jadeja, Shivam Dube, and Matheesha Pathirana are expected to be retained.

**Gujarat Titans (GT):** Shubman Gill, Rashid Khan, B Sai Sudarshan, Rahul Tewatia, and Shahrukh Khan are likely to be retained, leaving them with one RTM card.

**Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR):** Sunil Narine, Rinku Singh, Harshit Rana, and Varun Chakravarthy are set to be retained, while captain Shreyas Iyer and Andre Russell’s retention is uncertain.

**Lucknow Super Giants (LSG):** The team is expected to retain Nicholas Pooran, Mayank Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi, and the uncapped duo of Mohsin Khan and Ayush Badoni. KL Rahul’s release is being considered.

**Rajasthan Royals (RR):** Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag, and Sandeep Sharma are likely to be retained, with reports suggesting that Jos Buttler and Yuzvendra Chahal will be released.

**Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH):** The team is preparing to retain Heinrich Klassen, Pat Cummins, Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, and Nitish Reddy, leaving them with one RTM card.

**Mumbai Indians (MI):** The team is expected to retain Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, and captain Hardik Pandya. However, uncertainties surround their final retention list due to recent team dynamics.
