Thu Oct 31 16:01:14 UTC 2024: ## TV5 Founder Appointed as Chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Trust Board

**TIRUMALA, INDIA – October 30, 2024** – The Andhra Pradesh government has appointed Bollineni Rajagopala Naidu, founder and chairman of TV5 news channel, as the new Chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Trust Board. The appointment was announced on Wednesday, along with the selection of 24 other member trustees.

Mr. Naidu, known as B.R. Naidu, hails from Diguva Poonepalli village in Chittoor. He previously served as the secretary of the BHEL employees union and was an active participant in the “Prajaswamya Punaruddharana” movement, which supported late TDP founder president and then Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao in 1983.

The government has ensured representation from other states, particularly southern states, on the board. Five members hail from Telangana, three from Karnataka, two from Tamil Nadu, and one each from Gujarat and Maharashtra.

As per standard procedure, the board includes three MLAs: Jyothula Nehru (Jaggampet), Prashanthi Reddy (Kovur), and M.S. Raju (Madakasira). Other members include Panabaka Lakshmi, Narsi Reddy, Sambasiva Rao, Sadasiva Rao, Krishnamurthy, Koteswar Rao, Mallela Rajasekhar Goud, Janga Krishnamurthy, Justice HL Dutt, Shantaram, R.N. Darshan, P. Ramamoorthy, Janakidevi Thammisetty, Boogunooru Mahendra Reddy, Anugolu Rangasri, Buragapu Anandasai, Suchitra Yella, Naresh Kumar, Dr. Adit Desai, and Saurabh H. Bora.
