**Chennai:** The recently released film “Amaran,” based on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan, who was martyred in a terrorist attack, has garnered praise from Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin. The film, starring Siva Karthikeyan and Sai Pallavi, was directed by Rajkumar Periasamy and released on Thursday as a Diwali treat.
The film’s crew arranged a special screening for Chief Minister Stalin, who watched it with his son Udhayanidhi. Photos from the screening went viral online.

Major Mukund Varadarajan lost his life in a terrorist attack in Kashmir in 2014. The Indian government honored him with the “Ashoka Chakra” for his service to the nation.
