**Ayodhya, India:** Prime Minister Narendra Modi has declared this year’s Diwali to be “special” as it marks the first time Lord Ram will celebrate the festival in the newly constructed Sri Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya. This momentous occasion marks the end of a 500-year wait for the deity to be enshrined in his birthplace.

Speaking via video conference, Prime Minister Modi expressed his heartfelt wishes for Dhanteras, which precedes Diwali. “In just two days, we will celebrate Diwali, and this year’s Diwali is special. After 500 years, Lord Ram sits in his glorious temple in Ayodhya. This is the first Diwali he will celebrate in his magnificent abode. We are all fortunate to witness such a special and grand Diwali,” he said.

The Prime Minister also took the opportunity to highlight the recent government initiative of providing 51,000 government jobs to young people. “On this auspicious day, during this festive atmosphere, 51,000 young men and women are being given government job appointment letters in the employment fair,” he announced. “My heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all of you.”

Modi further emphasized the government’s commitment to providing employment opportunities by stating, “The process of providing permanent government jobs to lakhs of people is underway. Lakhs of youth have received appointment letters in the government of India, and this process is also happening in BJP and NDA-ruled states.”

This Diwali, devotees and the nation alike are celebrating a historic moment as Lord Ram returns to his rightful place in Ayodhya, creating a uniquely special occasion for the festival of lights.
