**Chennai:** The much-anticipated sequel to the blockbuster Telugu film “Hanuman” is set to feature Kannada star Rishab Shetty as the titular character, Hanuman. The first-look poster of the film, titled “Jai Hanuman”, was unveiled by the film’s production team, Maitri Movie Makers, on Wednesday.
The original “Hanuman”, directed by Prasanth Varma and starring Teja Sajja, was a massive hit, garnering over ₹300 crores worldwide against a budget of ₹40 crores. The sequel, also directed by Prasanth Varma, is expected to be even bigger, with a release date scheduled for late next year.
The poster showcases Rishab Shetty in a powerful avatar, with long hair and a beard, holding a statue of Lord Rama. The actor is dressed in saffron robes, and his physique is well-defined, signifying the strength and resilience of the character. The sequel, which is being filmed in IMAX 3D, is sure to bring Hanuman’s story to life in a spectacular fashion.
