**Mumbai, India** – The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has announced the holiday schedule for Diwali 2024, which falls on Thursday, October 31st. While the stock market will be closed for Diwali, a special **Muharat trading session** will be held on Friday, November 1st, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
This one-hour trading session is considered auspicious and is believed to bring good luck and prosperity to investors. The BSE has also confirmed that the regular pre-opening session will take place from 5:45 AM to 6:00 AM on November 1st.
The stock market will be closed for three consecutive days from November 1st to November 3rd, due to the Diwali holiday, Saturday and Sunday’s regular weekend closures.
Schools and colleges across Maharashtra and other states will also be closed for Diwali, with most schools resuming classes on November 12th.
