**Chaubepur, Uttar Pradesh:** The body of 45-year-old Bablu Saroj, a resident of Molnapur village, was found in a canal near Dhaka village on the banks of the Ganga river. Saroj had left his home to buy cigarettes when he went missing.
The deceased’s family has accused two individuals from the same village of murder and filed a complaint with the Chaubepur police station. The police have taken both suspects into custody for questioning.
While the post-mortem report could not determine the cause of death, it revealed injuries on the back of Saroj’s head and back. Viscera samples have been preserved for further investigation.
The police are currently investigating the case and are awaiting the results of the investigation to determine the exact cause of death and the involvement of the suspects.
