**Ayodhya, India** – The holy city of Ayodhya, birthplace of Lord Rama, has been illuminated with a record-breaking display of 2.8 million diyas on the 55 ghats of the Saryu River. This spectacular display, known as “Ram Ki Padi,” was inaugurated by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday, October 30th, marking the grand celebration of Diwali.

The event witnessed two new Guinness World Records. First, a record of 2.512 million diyas lit simultaneously on the “Ram Ki Padi” in half an hour. Second, a record for the largest number of people performing a collective aarti of the Saryu River, with 1,121 participants.

The celebration was even more special this year as it coincided with the completion of the grand Ram Temple after 500 years of anticipation. The temple’s completion has brought immense joy to devotees across the nation and the world.

The event began with a grand procession featuring actors portraying Lord Rama, Sita, and Lakshmana, arriving on a celestial chariot, “Pushpak Vimana,” followed by their journey on a chariot pulled by CM Yogi Adityanath. The procession reached the Ramkatha Park where devotees chanted “Jai Shri Ram” in unison.

CM Yogi Adityanath then performed an aarti and a royal coronation ceremony for Lord Rama and Sita. He then offered special prayers at the Ram Temple. In his address, he emphasized the significance of the event, stating that the lighting of the diyas symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness and the fulfillment of a long-awaited dream. He urged Ayodhya residents to lead the way in promoting such grand Diwali celebrations in other holy cities like Mathura and Kashi.

The Diwali celebration in Ayodhya is a testament to the deep faith and devotion of the people, celebrating the return of Lord Rama to his home after his 14-year exile. It is a significant moment in history, bringing together faith, tradition, and cultural heritage. The event was a truly awe-inspiring sight, solidifying Ayodhya’s place as a major pilgrimage destination for Hindus worldwide.
