**Amaravati, October 30, 2024:** The Andhra Pradesh government has appointed BR Naidu as the new chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) and formed a 24-member board. The government issued an order on Wednesday, outlining the composition of the new board.
This board features a diverse representation, with five members from Telangana, three from Karnataka, two from Tamil Nadu, and one each from Gujarat and Maharashtra. Notably, half of the board members are from neighboring states, a significant departure from previous board compositions.
The government has announced 24 members, but one more member is expected to be appointed soon, likely from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The newly appointed board members expressed their gratitude to the government and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for the opportunity to serve the TTD.
Jyothula Nehru, the newly appointed board member and Jaggamampet MLA, stated that he is honored to be part of the board and considers it a great opportunity to serve Lord Venkateswara. He expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister and pledged to work towards providing better facilities for the devotees.
The TTD is a significant religious institution responsible for managing the affairs of the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple, a popular pilgrimage site in Andhra Pradesh. The new board is expected to play a key role in ensuring smooth operations and enhancing the pilgrimage experience for devotees.
