Wed Oct 30 17:55:35 UTC 2024: ## Rabada Reclaims Top Spot in ICC Test Bowlers Rankings, Santner Makes Huge Leap

**New Delhi, India (October 31, 2023):** South African pace spearhead Kagiso Rabada has returned to the pinnacle of the ICC Men’s Test Bowlers Rankings, dethroning India’s Jasprit Bumrah. This comes after Rabada’s stellar performance in South Africa’s recent nine-wicket victory over Bangladesh in Mirpur.

Rabada, who previously held the top spot in January 2018, has consistently been ranked within the top 10 since then. He now sits ahead of Australia’s Josh Hazlewood in second place, with Bumrah and India’s Ravichandran Ashwin dropping to third and fourth respectively.

Meanwhile, New Zealand’s Mitchell Santner has made a significant leap in the rankings, jumping a remarkable 30 places to 44th overall after a sensational performance in the Pune Test against India, where he bagged 13 wickets.

The recent Bangladesh series saw Bumrah and Ashwin occupy the top two spots, but their performance in the ongoing series against New Zealand, where they have picked up only three and six wickets respectively, has seen them slip down the rankings.

In the ICC batters’ rankings, India’s Yashasvi Jaiswal has returned to the third spot after his impressive 77-run knock in the second Test against New Zealand. England’s Joe Root remains at the top despite a subpar performance in the third Test against Pakistan.

The Indian team is set to face New Zealand in the third Test, commencing on November 1. This series marks the first time India has lost a Test series at home in 12 years.
