Wed Oct 30 08:18:30 UTC 2024: ## Women Dominate Top Ranks in ICAI CA Intermediate Exams

**New Delhi, October 30, 2024:** The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) today announced the results for the September 2024 CA Foundation and Intermediate examinations.

Parami Umesh Parekh from Mumbai topped the CA Intermediate exam with a score of 484 out of 500, achieving a remarkable 80.67%. This year, the top three positions in the Intermediate exam were secured by women, with Tanya Gupta from Chennai and Vidhi Jain from New Delhi taking the second and third ranks respectively.

In the Intermediate examination, a total of 1,39,646 candidates were admitted, while 78,209 candidates were admitted in the Foundation examination. The passing percentage for the Foundation exam was 19.67%, with 13,858 candidates clearing the exam out of 70,437 who appeared.

The ICAI President, CA Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal, congratulated the successful candidates, emphasizing the importance of hard work, dedication, and perseverance in achieving success in the accounting profession. He encouraged students to continue striving for excellence and upholding the values of integrity and professionalism.

The ICAI has already announced the exam dates for the January 2025 examinations. The Foundation Course exam will be held on January 12, 14, 16, and 18, 2025. The Intermediate Course exam will be held on January 11, 13, and 15 for Group I, and on January 17, 19, and 21 for Group II.
