**Ballari, Karnataka:** Kannada film star Darshan Thoogudeepa has been granted interim bail for six weeks by the Karnataka High Court in the Renukachari murder case. The court cited Darshan’s health concerns as the reason for the bail.
While Darshan’s family and fans have expressed relief and celebrated the news, Renukachari’s family remains unhappy.
Speaking to TV9, Renukachari’s father, Kashinath, expressed disappointment with the court’s decision. He stated, “We have no objection to the interim bail granted to Darshan. It is the court’s order and a legal process. We respect the court’s decision, but it saddens us. We feel injustice is being done to us and our family. We will continue our legal battle to ensure justice is served and the perpetrators are punished.”
Darshan, the second accused in the case, is accused of playing a role in the brutal murder of Renukachari. The first accused, Pavithra Gowda, is suspected to have been the primary perpetrator.
The bail granted to Darshan is conditional and allows him to seek medical treatment at any hospital of his choice.
Darshan’s wife, Vijayalakshmi, shared a photo of the Kamakhya temple on Instagram, expressing gratitude for the court’s decision and attributing it to the blessings of the deity.
This news has caused a stir among fans who celebrated the actor’s release with firecrackers in Jayanagar.
