**Kochi:** Renowned film editor Nishad Yusuf (43) was found dead at his flat in Panampally Nagar, Kochi, early this morning. He was a native of Haripad. Nishad was a recipient of the Kerala State Film Award for Best Editor for his work on the 2022 film “Thallumaala.”
Nishad had edited several critically acclaimed films including “Chaaver,” “Unda,” “Saudi Vellakka,” “One,” and “Operation Java.” He was also the editor for the upcoming films “Basso” starring Mammootty and “Kanguva” starring Surya.
His untimely demise has shocked the Malayalam film industry. The cause of death is yet to be determined.
