**New Delhi, October 28:** The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the schedule for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2025, with registration for the first session opening today. The exam will be held in two sessions, the first in January and the second in April 2025.
**Key Dates for JEE Mains 2025 Session 1:**
* **Registration Opens:** October 28, 2024
* **Last Date for Online Fee Payment:** November 22, 2024, 11:50 PM
* **Announcement of Exam City:** First week of January 2025
* **Downloading of Admit Cards:** Three days before the actual date of exams
* **Exam Dates:** Between January 22 and January 31, 2025
* **Declaration of Result:** By February 12, 2025
**Exam Pattern Changes:**
* **No Optional Questions:** The JEE Mains 2025 will not have any optional questions.
* **75 Questions:** The paper will contain 75 questions, 25 each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
* **Total Marks:** The total marks in the test will be 300.
**Important Notes:**
* **Registration Process:** Candidates can apply for the first session at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
* **Paper 1:** This paper is for admission to undergraduate engineering programs (B.E/B. Tech) at NITs, IIITs, and other participating institutes. It is also an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced) for admission to IITs.
* **Paper 2:** This paper is for admission to B. Arch and B. Planning courses.
* **Exam Languages:** The examination will be conducted in 13 languages including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
* **NTA Exam Calendar:** The NTA exam calendar for NEET UG, CUET UG, and UGC NET 2025 are yet to be announced and are expected to be published at nta.ac.in.
