This year, the “Shubh Muhurat,” or auspicious time, for these purchases falls between **6:12 PM and 8:53 PM** during the Pradosh Kaal, and also between **7:00 PM and 8:49 PM** during the Vrishabha Kaal. The entire Trayodashi Tithi, from 1:01 am on October 29 to 3:45 am on October 30, is also considered auspicious.
However, these timings may vary slightly depending on the city.
Besides gold and silver, people often purchase copper, brass, and silver utensils, electrical appliances, vehicles, and clay or metal idols of Lakshmi and Ganesha during Dhanteras. These purchases are believed to bring financial stability and prosperity.
