Harare, Zimbabwe – Zimbabwe Women continued their strong performance against the USA Women, securing a commanding victory in the fifth and final One Day International (ODI) at the Harare Sports Club on October 28th. The hosts put up a strong batting display, leading to a comfortable win.
Ashley Ndiraya, with a score of 39, and Josephine Nkomo, who contributed 20 runs, were instrumental in guiding Zimbabwe to a strong total. Nkomo’s innings included a notable four, showcasing her skillful batting. Ndiraya, too, displayed her prowess, hitting a number of boundaries.
The USA bowlers struggled to contain the Zimbabwe batters, with Aditiba Chudasama taking the only wicket, dismissing both Josephine Nkomo and Ashley Ndiraya. Saanvi Immadi and Ritu Singh also bowled well, but couldn’t prevent the Zimbabwean dominance.
The Zimbabwe women have now won the series 4-1, showcasing their strength and dominance in the face of the USA challenge. This victory will be a huge boost to their confidence as they prepare for future international tournaments.
