Mon Oct 28 07:31:59 UTC 2024: ## Waaree Energies Makes a Strong Debut on Stock Exchanges, Surging Over 60%

**Mumbai, India (October 26, 2023):** Waaree Energies Limited, a leading solar panel manufacturer, made a strong debut on the stock exchanges today, opening at a premium of over 60% compared to its issue price. The company’s initial public offering (IPO), which aimed to raise ₹4,321.44 crore, was heavily oversubscribed, receiving bids for 76.34 times the shares offered.

The strong listing reflects investor confidence in the company’s growth potential and financial stability, fueled by the robust demand for solar energy in India and the US. The IPO saw a record number of applications (97.34 lakh) and demand exceeding ₹2.41 lakh crore, surpassing previous records set by Bajaj Housing Finance, Tata Technologies, and LIC IPO.

Waaree Energies’ share price opened at ₹2,500 per share on NSE and ₹2,550 per share on BSE, marking an impressive 66.33% and 69.66% jump, respectively. While the stock initially dipped slightly, it remains significantly higher than the issue price.

“The strong listing is a reflection of the confidence investors have in Waaree Energies’ growth potential,” said Shivani Nyati, leading Wealth at Swastika Investmart Ltd. “Given the robust investor demand and the company’s position in the growing renewable energy sector, long-term investors may consider holding their positions.”

Analysts, however, caution short-term investors to book partial profits, especially if the stock experiences a significant surge.

Waaree Energies is committed to expanding its global reach, optimizing its supply chain, and leveraging its strong order book to ensure sustainable growth. With favorable government policies and its participation in the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, the company is well-positioned to capitalize on the booming solar energy sector.
