Sun Oct 27 22:40:52 UTC 2024: ## Inter Milan Coach Inzaghi Frustrated After Late Juventus Draw

Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi expressed his disappointment after his team’s 4-4 draw with Juventus on Sunday, attributing the result to missed scoring opportunities and defensive lapses. Despite dominating possession and holding a 4-2 lead until the 71st minute, Inter conceded two goals from substitute Kenan Yildiz to end the game in a stalemate.

“There is bitterness, but as a coach, I must analyze and talk to them tomorrow,” Inzaghi told Sky Sports Italy, acknowledging the players’ dejection. He was particularly frustrated with the defensive errors that allowed Juventus to claw their way back into the match. “It’s frustrating, as we were facing a Juventus side whose greatest strength is defense and we created so many scoring opportunities without winning,” he said.

Despite the disappointment, Inzaghi emphasized the positives of Inter’s performance. “It is right that the team feels disappointed and angry, but we must also look at the positives, creating nine or 10 clear scoring opportunities against a side that had conceded only once in Serie A this season,” he remarked.

However, Inter’s defensive vulnerabilities remain a concern for Inzaghi, who admitted that their recent performances pale in comparison to last season’s title-winning form. “We have been conceding goals that are frankly unacceptable. We probably would’ve won this by quite a bit last season,” he stated.

Inzaghi acknowledged the unexpected nature of the draw, saying, “It’s a draw, not a defeat, but admittedly it feels a bit like that. I’ll be honest, I’ve never been part of a game like that. There seemed to be no warning of a Juve comeback, maybe I could’ve done more.”

Despite the draw, Inter remain strong contenders in the Serie A title race. However, Inzaghi will need to address his team’s defensive issues to ensure continued success in the upcoming weeks.
