Mon Oct 28 08:10:00 UTC 2024: ## Ayatollah Khamenei’s Hebrew Twitter Account Suspended After Two Posts

**JERUSALEM** – Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader, saw his newly launched Hebrew language account on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) suspended after only two posts. The account, which had previously been used to post in Hebrew on his main account, was created following recent Israeli airstrikes on Iranian military targets.

The second and final post, made on Sunday, read: “The Zionist regime made a mistake, and erred in its calculation regarding Iran. We will make it understand what power, ability, initiative and desire the Iranian nation has.” The first post, made on Saturday, simply stated “In the name of Allah the merciful.”

Khamenei has consistently used strong language against Israel on his main X account, and while he downplayed the significance of the Israeli airstrikes, he maintained that Israel is miscalculating Iran’s strength.

“They’re making a miscalculation concerning Iran,” he said in comments published on his website. “They still haven’t been able to correctly understand the power, capability, ingenuity, and determination of the Iranian people. We need to make them understand these things.”

The Israeli strikes, which targeted missile manufacturing facilities, surface-to-air missile arrays, and other aerial capabilities, reportedly killed two Iranian soldiers. Israel claimed the airstrikes were a response to Iran’s October 1st missile attack.

The suspension of Khamenei’s Hebrew language account adds another layer to the escalating tensions between Iran and Israel.
