Sun Oct 27 22:48:00 UTC 2024: ## New Zealand Women Level Series with Dominant Win Over India
**Wellington, New Zealand:** New Zealand Women secured a resounding 76-run victory over India in the second Women’s ODI, leveling the three-match series at 1-1 on Sunday.
New Zealand, batting first, posted a formidable 259/9 thanks to a crucial 82-run partnership between captain Sophie Devine (79) and Maddy Green (42). Left-arm spinner Radha Yadav (4/69) was India’s most successful bowler, but the hosts’ fielding let them down with as many as five dropped catches.
India’s chase never got off the ground despite Radha Yadav’s valiant 48 runs. They were eventually bowled out for 183 in 47.1 overs, with Lea Tahuhu and Sophie Devine taking three wickets each for New Zealand.
Despite a strong bowling performance from Deepti Sharma (2/30) and a brilliant two catches from Radha Yadav, India couldn’t capitalize on their chances. Had they taken those catches, they could have restricted New Zealand to a lower total.
The series now heads to Auckland for the final ODI on Wednesday.
