Mon Oct 28 06:42:45 UTC 2024: ## Diljit Dosanjh’s ‘Dil-Luminati’ Tour Kicks Off in Delhi, Breaking Records and Traffic

**New Delhi, October 27, 2024** – Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh ignited the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi with the first stop of his highly anticipated ‘Dil-Luminati India Tour 2024’, captivating thousands of fans with a high-energy performance. The concert, the first of two scheduled for Delhi, saw Dosanjh perform his chart-topping hits, including “Lover,” “5 Taara,” and “Do You Know.”

The excitement surrounding the event was palpable, with fans expressing their joy at witnessing the singer perform live. “It’s an amazing vibe, and people have been waiting for the last half hour, so the craze is full-on,” shared one attendee.

However, the overwhelming popularity of the concert led to massive traffic jams, particularly near the Barapullah Bridge. Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal was among those caught in the gridlock, eventually having to walk the final stretch to the venue.

Despite the traffic woes, the atmosphere inside the stadium was electric. Fans described the struggle to secure tickets, with some even resorting to purchasing them from unofficial sources. “I struggled for nine hours on Zomato Live to get some tickets, and finally got one,” shared one concert-goer, highlighting the high demand.

The concert sold out within minutes, prompting Dosanjh to add a second show in Delhi. The Sunday performance is also set to be a sellout, with only lounge tickets remaining. The tour, organised by Ripple Effect Studios and Saregama India, has already achieved record-breaking status, becoming the fastest-selling and highest-grossing concert event in Indian history.

The Delhi shows are merely the beginning of the “Dil-Luminati” tour, which will take Dosanjh to 10 cities across India, including Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata, and more, concluding with a grand finale in Guwahati on December 29.

Diljit Dosanjh’s growing global prominence is evident through his recent achievements, including his performance at Coachella in 2022, becoming the first Punjabi artist to grace the iconic stage. He also made a memorable appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” in June, performing his hit tracks “G.O.A.T” and “Born to Shine.”

As a prominent figure in both music and film, Dosanjh’s star continues to rise, solidifying his position as one of the most celebrated South Asian artists on the global stage.
