**Hyderabad, India** – A raid conducted by police and excise officials at a farmhouse allegedly linked to former Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) in Rangareddy district resulted in the detention of over 30 people, including 14 women. The raid, which took place in the Janwada area of Hyderabad, was prompted by a tip-off about illegal liquor serving and suspected drug use.
Officers seized seven bottles of imported liquor containing 10.5 litres of alcohol, along with 10 bottles of Indian-made liquor, all reportedly being served without a licence. Drug tests conducted on the party attendees revealed that one individual, identified as Vijay Madduri, tested positive for cocaine. Madduri was subsequently taken to a hospital for further examination.
A case has been registered against Madduri under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act for possession of cocaine. Additionally, a separate case has been filed against the farmhouse owner for serving liquor without a licence.
This incident follows a similar raid last week where over 100 people, including 42 women, were arrested at a pub in Banjara Hills for allegedly engaging in obscene dance performances. This raid was also conducted based on information regarding illegal activities.
Police authorities are continuing their investigations into both incidents, with a focus on addressing illegal activities, including drug use and unlicensed liquor service.
