**Raipur, Chhattisgarh:** After a long six-year wait, the Chhattisgarh Police has finally released the results for the Sub Inspector (SI) Recruitment Exam 2021. The results, which were announced on [Date], can be accessed on the official website of the Chhattisgarh Police, cgpolice.gov.in.

A total of 959 candidates have been selected for the 975 vacant positions. The final merit list is available on the website, and candidates can check their results by downloading the PDF.

The recruitment process included interviews for 1436 candidates in August-September 2023. The positions filled include:

* 57 Subedar posts (out of 58 vacant)
* 577 Sub Inspector posts (out of 585 vacant)
* 69 SI (Special Branch) posts (out of 69 vacant)
* 247 Platoon Commander posts (out of 247 vacant)
* 02 SU (FingerPrint) posts (out of 6 vacant)
* 01 Sub Inspector (Document in Question) post (out of 3 vacant)
* 05 SI (Computer) posts (out of 6 vacant)
* 01 SI (Radio) post (out of 9 vacant)

The post of Subedar (Female) in the Scheduled Tribe category remains vacant due to a directive from the Chhattisgarh High Court. Other vacant positions are attributed to a lack of eligible candidates.

Candidates had been continuously demanding the release of the results for the past year, with the court also ordering the state government to expedite the process. The candidates had even met with the Home Minister to appeal for swift action.

The Chhattisgarh Police has separately announced recruitment for 341 posts in the police department, including Subedar, Sub Inspector, Sub Inspector (Special Branch), and Platoon Commander. The application process for this recruitment commenced in October 2023.
