**Mumbai, India** – Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), India’s largest company, is set to issue bonus shares to its investors on October 28th, 2023. The company will issue one bonus share for every share held by investors as of the record date, which has been set as October 28th.

The announcement was made by Chairman Mukesh Ambani during RIL’s 47th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in August 2024. The company’s board has also approved increasing the registered share capital from ₹15,000 crores to ₹50,000 crores.

Investors who purchase RIL shares on or before Friday, October 25th will be eligible to receive the bonus shares. However, investors buying shares on or after Monday, October 28th will not be eligible, as the stock will undergo a trade-ex split on that date.

The bonus shares will be credited to eligible shareholders’ demat accounts at a later date.

RIL shares closed slightly higher on Thursday at ₹2,678.90. The stock has declined by over 10% in the past month and has delivered a return of 18.64% in the past year.
