Sat Oct 26 23:20:00 UTC 2024: ## Suns Soar Past Mavericks, Durant Leads the Charge with 31 Points

**PHOENIX** – The Phoenix Suns secured a dominant 114-102 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night, led by Kevin Durant’s 31-point performance. Despite a valiant effort from Luka Doncic, who tallied 40 points and 10 rebounds, the Mavericks couldn’t overcome the Suns’ consistent offense.

The Suns never relinquished their lead after the first quarter, though the Mavericks kept the game close for much of the night. Jusuf Nurkic contributed 18 points and 14 rebounds for Phoenix, while Devin Booker added 21 points. Rookie Ryan Dunn shined in his first career start, scoring 13 points and showcasing potential as the No. 28 draft pick.

The Mavericks’ struggles stemmed from their shooting woes, converting only 39.8% of their shots from the field. Their bench also struggled, scoring a mere nine points.

The Suns’ victory comes after a disappointing loss to the Lakers on Friday night. Their next game will be a rematch against the Lakers on Monday night. The Mavericks will return home to host the Jazz on Monday.
