**Mumbai:** Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait has once again urged Bollywood star Salman Khan to publicly apologize to the Bishnoi clan, citing threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
Tikait claims that the threats stem from a long-standing dispute between Khan and the Bishnoi community, which considers the issue a matter of faith. “This isn’t a personal problem, it’s about the beliefs of a clan,” Tikait emphasized. He advised Khan to visit a temple associated with the Bishnoi clan and apologize for any past transgressions.
Tikait warned, “This isn’t going to end here. It poses a threat to his life.” He referred to the Bishnoi gang as “criminals” operating from prison and suggested that an apology could de-escalate the situation.
This call for an apology comes after multiple threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang towards Salman Khan, stemming from his alleged involvement in an antelope poaching case. Recent incidents, including a shooting incident near Khan’s apartment and the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique, which the Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for, have heightened security concerns.
The Maharashtra government has increased security around Khan’s residence, and he has reportedly acquired a bullet-proof car.
Salman Khan’s father, Salim Khan, previously commented on the situation, stating that his son has a strong affinity for animals and that he wouldn’t intentionally harm any creature. He suggested that an apology would amount to admitting guilt, implying that Khan maintains his innocence.
