**Ayodhya, October 11, 2024:** Ayodhya Shiv Kumari Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya will host an extensive program from October 17th to 29th to promote Ayurveda. The decision was taken during a meeting of the college’s Academic Council on Thursday, chaired by Principal Dr. Srinivas Tripathi.
The program will mark Dhanwantari Puja as the 9th Ayurveda Day. The college will carry out extensive promotion activities to raise awareness about the benefits of Ayurveda among the public.
The decision to celebrate Ayurveda Day was made following directives from the State Ayush Committee, which emphasized the importance of promoting Ayurveda.
Dr. Tripathi outlined various programs designed to connect Ayurveda with the public, including:
* **Herbal Garden Display:** The college will showcase its herbal garden to raise awareness about medicinal plants and their benefits.
* **Awareness Campaigns:** Teams will visit schools, colleges, women’s centers, and hold public meetings to educate the community about Ayurveda.
* **Medical Camps:** Free medical camps will be organized at various locations to offer Ayurvedic consultations.
* **Nasyakarma Awareness:** The college will conduct a special campaign to educate people about the importance of Nasyakarma (nasal therapy) in Ayurvedic practice.
A committee, comprising Dr. Vijendra Kumar, Dr. Madhuri Kumari, Dr. Lal Kaushal Kumar, Dr. Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Dr. Om Prakash Dwivedi, Dr. Akhilesh Prasad Singh, Dr. Anil Kumar, Dr. Dilip Kumar Verma, Dr. Pramod Kumar, Dr. Sultan Praveen, and Dr. Mukesh Kumar, has been formed to oversee the program’s implementation. Dr. Santosh Kumar Singh will serve as the program’s nodal officer.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Bhanu Pratap Rai and Dr. Akhilesh Jaiswal.
