She stated that the party has not approached her regarding the Wayanad seat and no discussions have taken place. Khushboo mentioned that if the party decides to nominate her, she would be willing to run, as she is obligated to follow the party’s directives. Reports suggest that BJP’s central leadership has inquired about fielding a film star in a manner similar to Thrissur.
On the other hand, CPI has nominated Satyan Mokery as their candidate against Priyanka Gandhi. Mokery previously contested in Wayanad, a stronghold for UDF since 2014, where he narrowly lost by 20,000 votes. Mukery’s candidacy is significant as it marks one of the highest vote counts achieved by an LDF candidate in Wayanad’s history.
