During an emotional episode, Neelam shared her disappointment about her daughter, Ahana, discovering her first marriage and divorce online. She recounted a moment when Ahana confronted her, saying she had found out through friends who were searching for information about her celebrity mother.
Neelam elaborated on her marriage to Sethia, expressing the profound cultural and lifestyle changes she faced after moving abroad. She outlined how she changed her name and adopted various customs but struggled with losing her identity. She tearfully recounted public instances where she couldn’t claim her identity as an actress, stating, “No, I am not Neelam.”
Neelam ultimately divorced Sethia shortly after their wedding in 2000, returned to acting, and married Samir Soni in 2011. The couple adopted Ahana in 2013, and Neelam expressed pride in her acting career, having appeared in over 40 films.
